Oyo state is in the fourth position among the richest states in Nigeria.  The state is located in the south-western part of the country, and it is among the oldest states in Nigeria. Its capital city is Ibadan, which is adjudged as the largest city in West Africa. Its GDP is US$16,121 million.

5.Imo State

This is one of the most industrialized states in Nigeria. Many industries and institutions of higher learning can be found in the state, and they all pay tax to the state government. The GDP of the state is US$10,470.

10.Kaduna State

This is the 10th richest state in Nigeria today with a GDP of US$10,334. The state is located in the northern part of Nigeria and can be counted as the political headquarters of northern Nigeria.
