MTN is a leading internet service provider in Nigeria today. The company has come of age and it has become one of the most versatile of all the network service providers in Nigeria. In times past, the services provided by MTN were expensive. However, things have changed these days. There are now far cheaper mtn data plan internet services, aside from their various call services that are also affordable.

This reduction in price of mtn data plan bundles is not surprising anyway. When MTN came to Nigeria newly in 2002, they were charging Nigerians heavily for their services. They were however forced to come down to earth when competition started arising from other internet service providers, like Econet and especially Globacom. It was Globacom that seem to have forced MTN to reduce its cost of services.

The same competition was further heightened by the entrance of Etisalat (now 9mobile) into the fray in 2008.  Etisalat was offering one of the least expensive internet services and those other companies that had been existing before them were forced to also reduce their prices.

Today, Nigerians can browse the internet at considerably cheap rate in the comfort of their homes. In times past, they had to do most of their internet browsing at cyber cafes. It now seems as if browsing at home is far cheaper than browsing at the cyber cafes.

Below, you are going to learn about the various cheap data plans being provided by MTN today.
